Congratulations to the Charter Members of the Arco Chamber Music Solo Competition!  I heard everyone today and enjoyed every single second.  These young musicians were as professional as they come.  Molly Baer, our judge, had a hard time in deciding the winner of this competition and went over her notes several times.  Ms. Oh and I let her take as much time as she needed in deciding the outcome and when Ms. Baer finished, she gave us the results.  She told us that we were lucky to have such talented musicians to compete in the first every ACM Solo Contest.  She took extra notes as our young talented performers were playing and was very careful in her decisions.  She was satisfied in her decision and wanted me to tell everyone that she was lucky to be your judge.

Everyone that participated needs to keep track of your participation and accomplishments.  This is the kind of thing that colleges want to see on your applications.  It may not seem that important to keep track right now, but as a former college professor, I can tell you that it IS just the thing people with scholarship money wants to see.
